The Selmaville Lady Rockets dropped their regional championship in Class S at Christ Our Rock to Trinity/St Mary 13-4.
In the loss, Allie Hustedde had a pair of doubles going 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Kaolin Lewis, Kenna Benjamin and Samara Simmons all added a hit as the Lady Rockets finish the year at 14-7.
For the Defenders Emrie Quick struck out 11 over 6 innings. Raylynn Parker had 2 hits, Quick had a solo homer, Abby Draper had a triple and Jo Meyer an RBI single.
The Defenders will play Woodlawn in the first round of State in Coulterville on Saturday.
