More regional championships will be played for today in SIJHSAA baseball and softball.
In Class M baseball, Nashville takes on Central City for a trip to state. The Selmaville Rockets will play for their Class S region title at home against Altamont Lutheran at 5:30.
In softball play, the Lady Rockets of Selmaville will take on Trinity-St Mary at Christ Our Rock starting at 4:30. In Class M, Breese takes on Aviston and Nashville will play Carlyle.
The Class L baseball bracket is set for the quarterfinals on Saturday at Rotary Field in Centralia. The day opens at 10 with Carterville and Millstadt with Flora and O’Fallon Fulton playing at 11, DuQuoin and Highland play at noon with Franklin Park and unbeaten Harrisburg starting at 1pm.
In softball play Saturday at Rotary Field, DuQuoin and Mascoutah play at 11, Franklin Park and Marion at 11, Carterville and Waterloo at noon and Mt Carmel and Wolf Branch at 1.
