The Mt. Vernon Festivals, Inc. Fall Fest Committee has announced Lisa Damron will be the Grand Marshal for the Crossroads Community Hospital Fall in Love with Mt. Vernon Parade.
The parade will begin at one Saturday afternoon, October 1st, with a theme that has a double meaning.
Festivals Director Angela Schrum says they love the season of fall in Mt. Vernon and also want to encourage parade entries to portray what they love about the community.
Damron has been Vice President of Mt. Vernon Festivals, Inc. for nearly seven years and has been involved with festivals in Mt. Vernon for decades. Earlier this year, Damron was honored by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce as their Citizen of the Year for her contributions to the community and generous giving of her time and talents not only to festivals but to fellow community members as well.
