Bond was set at $75,000 in Marion County Court on Tuesday for a 47-year-old Washington State man who has been formally charged with public indecency following a Monday night incident at a Forbes State Park campground.

Marion County Assistant State’s Attorney Tara Steele provided additional details about the misdemeanor public indecency complaint against Christopher Baker in the probable cause statement to support the charge.   Steele said Baker had allegedly grabbed the breast of another camper’s wife while wearing a towel.  Baker then reportedly dropped the towel and began exposing himself to those in the campground.  That reportedly led to the husband of the woman who had been grabbed striking Baker and knocking him unconscious.

Baker had come to by the time Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived.   He was treated at the scene by EMS, but did not require hospitalization.   Instead he was taken to the Marion County Jail on the public indecency charge.

Steele asked for a bond of $40,000 because Baker had no known local ties and reportedly has been biking across the country for two years heading to a construction job in Virginia.  Judge Mike McHaney decided on the even higher bond of $75,000 with a no contact order for Forbes State Park if released on bond.  The public defender was appointed to represent Baker.
