5K run being added to this year’s Kinmundy Labor Day Celebration

The Kinmundy Labor Day Celebration next Monday will feature the return of the 5K run as well as the car show and parade.

For the second year in a row, South Central FFA will be hosting the event.

The 5K will take place starting at the Ritter’s Car Wash, make a loop around the Log Cabin Village, and end back at the car wash. Early Bird registration is now available on the South Central FFA Facebook page. Same day registration is also available at 7am. With the run starting at 8am. There will be various medals and every participant will receive a shirt.  There will also be a 1 mile fun run.

For the car enthusiasts, the car show will take place in the park area. Registration will begin at 9am with judging at 1pm. There will be a $20 entry fee for every car.  Various awards will be given out, as well as goody bags and dash plaques for the first 100 entries. There will be t-shirts and hats available for purchase throughout the day.

Throughout the day there will be giveaways, raffles, various games for children, bounce houses, food trucks, and a touch and climb machinery.  South Central FFA members are looking to have a grain semi and a tractor for children and visitors to climb into and look at.

There will be chicken dinners offered at the Kinmundy Lions building from 11 am to 1 pm.

The parade will cap the activities at two Monday afternoon.
