Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera has called in the State Fire Marsha office to investigate the cause of a fire early Friday morning at 14-05 North Elm in Central City.

He reports with no power to the residence following a March 29th fire, it is considered suspicious in nature.   The home owned by Daniel Russell was vacant following heavy damage to the back half of the home.

This fire was in the front portion of the home, where it appeared to have started, and had burned out onto the front porch by the time firemen were called.   Boshera says they got a quick knockdown but spent time making sure the fire hadn’t spread further into the walls undetected.

There were no injuries.  The fire call came in at 1:52 Friday morning with firemen on the scene for about two and a half hours.
