Centralia Mayor Bryan Kuder says a closed session after Monday’s regular city council meeting was used to brainstorm how to move forward on finding a new city manager.

Kuder says there is no plan yet, but they will go back through the applicants who had applied when Scott Randall was hired last summer to see if any may be
viable candidates now. He reports they will also be looking at any potential local candidates.

Kuder says they want to find the right person this time so they are not going through this again in six months.

Randall resigned as of Monday and was given a severance package that included 20 weeks of pay along with two and a half additional weeks of vacation and
other earned time.

City Clerk Kim Engh has been appointed to serve as the Administrative Agent to handle the duties of city manager until a new city manager is found.
