DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas Mavericks showed they can win without their top player.
The Mavs clawed back from a 19-point deficit and beat the Kings, 114-113 on Dorian Finney-Smith’s 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds to play. Spencer Dinwiddie scored a season-high 36 points in his first start for Dallas since being acquired from Washington on Feb. 10. Jalen Brunson added 23 points for the Mavericks, who were without All-Star Luka Doncic (DAHN’-chihch) because of a sprained left big toe.
Coach Jason Kidd says he hopes Doncic will be available for the Mavs’ next game.
