The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports a slick spot on the road apparently caused the driver of an SUV to lose control while making a left turn from U.S. 50 onto U.S. 51 at the north split in Sandoval.
Deputies say 47-year-old Carrie Moore of Wood Street in Odin crashed into a power pole after leaving the roadway. The pole did not appear to receive any damage.
Moore was checked out by Sandoval ambulance personnel but declined medical treatment.
The crash occurred just after noon on Friday.
