A 24-year-old homeless man was arrested following an alleged stabbing at a home in rural Odin that was apparently set off by an Xbox game.

Marion County Sheriff’s officials say the incident occurred at the home of the alleged victim Charles Adams on the Farthing Road in rural Odin.

Deputies arrested Jareth Wilson for aggravated domestic battery and his girlfriend 19-year-old Kiona Gajweski of Second Street in Centralia for misdemeanor domestic battery.    Gajweski is identified as Adam’s step-daughter.

Reports indicate the incident began over an Xbox game.  Gajweski allegedly shoved Adams.  Wilson then allegedly got on top of Adams and stabbed him one time with a pocket knife.

Adams was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Both Gajweski and Wilson then left the home and were later taken into custody by Central City on a traffic stop.   The sheriff’s department reports the pocket knife has been recovered.

The incident was first reported at 4:36 Saturday afternoon.
