Centralia Community Youth Center and NAACP seek Wall of Honor nominations

The Centralia Community Youth Center and the Centralia Chapter of the NAACP have again joined together in a joint effort to honor individuals in the City of Centralia and surrounding community that has made a difference within the community.

Individuals honored will be presented at the annual Wall of Honor induction at 3:00 pm on March 5th at the youth center. Honored individuals will receive a wall plaque in honor of the recognition. A permanent plaque will be mounted on the Wall of Honor at the Centralia Community Youth Center.

All nominations for consideration must be received by February 11, 2022.

Forms are available at the Centralia City Hall, Ricks Chapel AME Church, Second Baptist and New Bethel Missionary Baptist Churches or on line at CCYC Facebook page or the Centralia Youth Center office at 1224 E. Rexford.

No one will be considered for the Wall of Honor without first being nominated. The nomination shall be presented to the committee for review, consideration and final selection. There will be a maximum of 5 inductees in one calendar year.

Individuals selected for the honor will be recognized from one of the following categories:

1. Business Development
2. Community
3. Youth involvement
4. Education
5. Employment
6. Political
7. Religious
