A 39-year-old homeless Salem man has been charged in Marion County Court with failure to register as a sex offender.

Wamac Police arrested Michael Talley as a person of interest for Salem Police when he was a passenger in a traffic stop on Monday.

Bond for Talley was set at $7,500.  The public defender was appointed to represent him.   The charge was a class two felony because Talley had a prior conviction for failure to register.
