Salem Police have arrested a 28-year-old Salem man for three burglaries in the city.
Slade Thompson of Rogers Street has been arrested in connection with the Christmas Eve burglary to the maintenance shed at Salem Community High School, the December burglary to the CSX railroad Depot on South Broadway, and the June burglary to the location on West Main Street where Sleep in Heavenly Peace
was storing their tools and materials.
Police say a Gator, air compressor and other items were stolen from the high school maintenance building. Items have been recovered from that burglary.
Tools and equipment were stolen from inside the CSX building and a pickup truck parked outside was stolen. Police say the truck was later found abandoned in Junction City with the catalytic converter cut off.
Multiple tools were reported stolen from the Sleep in Heavenly Peace storage building.
Thompson was taken into custody on Wednesday while he was a passenger in a traffic stop.
