In prep girls basketball tonight, the Salem Lady Wildcats head to Breese to take on the Lady Cougars in Cahokia Conference play. The Lady Cats are 4-12 on the season and are 2-3 in the Cahokia.
After tonight, both teams will participate in the Highland Tournament on Saturday with Salem taking on 2nd ranked and unbeaten Okawville while Breese Central is the 10th seed and will open with Nashville.
Also in girls hoops last night, Mater Dei beat Granite City 56-28, Wood River nipped Bunker Hill 38-36, Goreville 64-28 over Sesser.
