Selmaville won the opening round of their Class S Regional defeating Odin 48-19. Kale Benjamin had 14 and Maci Thorsen 10. They advance to host Raccoon tonight at 6pm in Selmaville.
Patoka’s season came to an end with a 33-50 loss to Raccoon. Gwen Belcher led Patoka with 11, Katie Spencer & Kenzi Wilkerson each had 8.
Also at the Selmaville Regional last night, New Horizon knocked off Willow Grove/St Mary’s Centralia 48-8 and Field beat Sandoval 46-28. Field and New Horizon will play at 6pm tonight.
In Class L Regionals last night at Murphysboro, Carterville knocked off the hosts 44-15 and Carbondale over Herrin 31-22.
Tonight at Marion it will be Harrisburg against West Frankfort Central followed by Massac and Marion. At Hamilton County, the hosts play DuQuoin followed by Casey Mt Vernon and Benton.
The Class M regional at Carlyle opens tonight with Aviston and Central City followed by Breese Jr High and Carlyle. At Nashville, the hosts try to keep rolling as they take on Wayne City followed by Fairfield and Rome.
