Police beat for Tuesday, January 11, 2022

Sandoval Police arrested a 33-year-old Central City man for possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest following a traffic stop in Salem Monday night. Loyd Finley of South Merritt had ran from a home in Sandoval over the weekend when police were trying to question him on another offense.

A 27-year-old homeless Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant in a pending burglary and felony theft case. Jacob Schleuter was taken to the Marion County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.

31-year-old Devon Beasley of Salem Mobile Home Park was taken to the Marion County Jail by Salem Police for alleged felony violation of an order of protection.

Salem Police arrested 20-year-old Cameron Russell of Perkins Street in Odin on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he is being held on $5,000 bond.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to two sheds at General Contractors on Industrial Drive in Junction City. Wire was taken from one of the sheds. The other had a lock cut off, but nothing appears to be missing.
