EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Seth Lundy scored 23 points and his side-step fadeaway 3-pointer from the right side with 35 seconds left gave Penn State the lead for good as the Nittany Lions beat Northwestern 74-70. Leading 68-65, Lundy broke free behind Northwestern’s press for a breakaway and-1 layup for a six-point lead. Lundy finished 8-for-13 shooting including 5 for 9 from past the arc. Boo Buie scored 22 points and distributed eight assists for Northwestern.

MADISON, Wisc. (AP) — Ali Patberg scored 18 points and Mackenzie Holmes added 16 to help No. 6 Indiana beat Wisconsin 76-53. Patberg scored 12 points in the first half when Indiana used a 19-9 second quarter to take a 36-21 lead. Grace Berger had 11 assists and scored seven points in the victory. Aleska Gulbe scored 13 points and had eight rebounds for the Hoosiers, who’ve won eight straight in the series against Wisconsin. Indiana (12-2, 4-0 Big Ten) held Wisconsin to under 70 points, and the Badgers became the 14th opponent the Hoosiers have held below that mark.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa’s Keegan Murray has gone from overlooked recruit out of high school to the nation’s leading scorer. The sophomore forward is coming off a 35-point game in Monday’s 80-75 win over Maryland. That performance prompted Terrapins’ interim coach Danny Manning to call Murray a first-round NBA draft pick or lottery pick. Murray is averaging 24.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. The Hawkeyes play at No. 23 Wisconsin on Thursday night.

UNDATED (AP) — Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis spent his freshman year coming off the bench and playing a supporting role for a senior-laden team. Davis now is the Badgers’ featured performer and is making the most of his opportunity while catching the attention of NBA scouts. The 6-foot-5 guard already was garnering attention as a future first-round pick before producing of the greatest regular-season performances in Wisconsin history earlier this week. Davis collected 37 points and 14 rebounds to lead the 23rd-ranked Badgers to a 74-69 victory at No. 3 Purdue.
