The Salem Wildcats record fell to 8-8 as they traveled to Mt Vernon and came away with a 71-51 loss last night. Caden Bee had the hot shooting hand for Salem finishing with 18 points, Brendan Phillips added 12. The Cats had cut the Rams lead to 13 in the 4th quarter, but Calan Kujawa hit his 3rd three pointer of the game to extend the advantage back to 16 and it would get no closer. NJ Benson and DeShaunsae King led the Rams. Benson finished with 22 and King 20 with Kujawa adding 13. The Rams improved to 13-6 on the year. Salem will return to Cahokia play on Friday when they travel to Roxana.
South Central traveled to Christ Our Rock and earned a 55-45 victory behind 26 points from Aidan Dodson and 19 more from Keenin Willshire. The Cougars are 12-5 on the season as they host Cisne Friday.
