The Salem Lady Wildcats finished the Benton Tournament going 0-3 after their 48-41 loss to Pinckneyville yesterday morning. Salem falls to 3-11 overall. The Lady Cats led 23-22 at the half but couldn’t hold on. Salem was led by Katelyn Biegeleisen with 15. The Lady Cats struggled at the free throw line going 15-of-25. Salem will return to action next Thursday at home against Roxana.
The SC Lady Cougars were 2nd at the Dieterich Holiday Tournament. Congratulations to Halle Smith, Laney Webster and Brooklyn Garrett on being named to the All Tournament team.
At the Christ Our Rock Winterfest today the day begins at 3 with Greenville and Wesclin playing for 5th place, the consolation title game will be at 4:30 with Webber taking on Carbondale, the 3rd place game at 6:30 will see Anna Jonesboro and Christ Our Rock with Staunton and McGivney playing in the title game at 8pm.
