The Christ Our Rock Lutheran High Girls Basketball Winterfest Tournament sponsored by Midwest Farm & Land Company continued with Day 2 on Tuesday with four teams punching their ticket to the semifinals on Wednesday.
In quarterfinal action, Staunton ran away from Dupo 64-37, Anna-Jonesboro got passed Greenville 27-23, Father McGivney over Vandalia 51-22 and the host Lady Stallions knocked off Wesclin 58-46. The semifinals will be played today with Staunton and A-J at 6:30 followed by Christ Our Rock and Father McGivney at 8pm.
In the consolation bracket yesterday, Webber knocked off the JV from Anna 49-25, Elverado earned a forfeit win as Sandoval had to cancel the rest of their games in the tournament due to Covid as did Madison who gave a forfeit win to Johnston City. Carbondale then beat Trico 53-34. Webber and Elverado will play today at noon in the consolation semifinal followed at 1:30 by Johnston City and Carbondale.
