The Salem Wildcats won their 2nd game of the Duster Thomas knocking off Trico 43-27 behind 20 points from Brenden Phillips. The Cats were supposed to play Chester today at 10:30 in the Consolation semifinal, but Chester backed out of the rest of the tournament. The Cats will be back in action at 3:30 this afternoon in the Consolation Championship against the winner of today’s game between Greenville and Meridian and will be broadcast on 100.1 FM and WJBDRadio.com.
Quarterfinal scores from yesterday saw Murphsyboro over Steeleville 53-37, Pinckneyville nipped Benton 32-31, Mt Carmel over Jerseyville 52-38 and Olney is still perfect on the season with their 50-34 win over Carlyle.
