The Franklin Park Bobcats dropped to 6-8 on the season with a 51-31 loss at Casey Mt Vernon. Eli Lograsso finished with 9 to lead Salem, Eli Baker added 8. The Salem JV improved to 13-1 with a 30-15 victory. Payton Gullion led Salem with 14 and Avery Gullion chipped in with 8. Keytin Grawe played really well and added 4 along with Trey Clark who was making his return after missing most of the first half of the season with an injury.
2nd seed Carlyle knocked off 3rd seed Bartelso 58-52 in overtime during the semifinals of the Clinton County Conference Tournament. Landyn Mitchell had 27 to lead the Indians, Brady Gustafson had 11 and Zack Persing 10. Bennett Becker had 15 to lead Bartelso. Carlyle gets top seed Aviston in the conference championship Saturday at 12:30 at Central. Bartelso will get 4th seed Breese in the 3rd place game at 11:15.
