South Central opened as the top-seed at the St Elmo Holiday Tournament and looked the part in their 82-34 win over Mulberry Grove. Every Cougar on their roster scored, with Aidan Dodson leading the way with 22, Keenin Willshire added 14 and Ethan Watwood finished with 13. SC went 14-of-18 from the foul line as they will play Thursday against the hosts in the semifinal after they beat Patoka/Odin 52-42. The Warriors will play Mulberry Grove on Thursday night at 6:15 followed by SC and St Elmo. Tonight 2nd seed Cumberland takes on Ramsey followed by Windsor/Stew Stras playing CHBC.
At the Wayne City Holiday Tournament, Cisne beat Gallatin County 64-39, Webber over Crab Orchard 82-67 and Sandoval lost to Edwards County 65-48. Tonight Gallatin County plays Edwards County followed by Cisne and Wayne City.
