UNDATED (AP) — Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser has died at 82.
Unser is one of just four drivers to win the Indy 500 four times, capturing the event in 1970 and ’71 before adding victories in 1978 and 1987. He is the only driver with both a sibling and a child who also won the 500.
Unser had been battling cancer for 17 years.
