The Salem Lady Cats dropped their conference game at Columbia falling 44-32. It was a close game until 6 minutes left to go when Columbia hit a big three pointer to put them up 5 and pulled Salem out of their 2-3 zone into man to man, and Columbia utilized their size on the inside and hit their free throws to seal the win. Salem was led by Alesia Keller with 13, Katelyn Biegeleisen added 7. The Lady Cats return to action tomorrow with a game against Mascoutah. As of right now, they are scheduled to play 2 JV quarters at 11am followed by the varsity contest as Craig Holmes will have the call.
The South Central Lady Cougars beat Ramsey 59-22 as SC jumped out to a 20-0 lead after the opening quarter. Laney Webster finished with 22, Halle Smith 16 and Brooklyn Garrett 13.
