Franklin Park snapped a 3-game losing skid beating visiting Carlyle 46-40. Salem trailed by 9 early on, but Eli Lograsso hit a trio of three’s and finished with 16 points to keep Salem close. 7th grader Landen Maxey then hit 6 of 9 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the deal. He finished with 11 off the bench. Salem won in spite shooting just 10-of-27 from the free throw line. Eli Baker added 8 for the Bobcats. Brady Gustafson led Carlyle with 14.
The Salem JV improved to 12-0 with their 42-16 win. Salem didn’t give up a point until the final minute of the first half. 10 Bobcats scored, led by Jaret Gibson with 10, Maxey 7, Keytin Grawe 6 and Payton Gullion 5. The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday at Centralia.
The SC Falcons knocked off North Clay in the 7th Grade NTC Tournament consolation semifinals 47-39. Garret Shumate had 14 for SC with 10 each from Luke Shumate and Colton Cartright. SC will play Thursday at 5pm for the NTC JV Consolation Championship.
Irvington/North Wamac fell to 8-3 with a 57-40 loss to Spring Garden. Amari Joy had 17 in the loss, Ethan Samples 10 and Devin Konhorst added 9. The JV also lost 45-7.
