LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals come in with the best record in the NFL, a perfect mark away from home, and maybe some fresher legs following a bye. The NFC West leaders will try to keep it going when they visit the struggling Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Cardinals won two of three prior to their bye even though quarterback Kyler Murray and three-time All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins missed all three games because of injuries. Both players returned to practice on Wednesday. Chicago lost five in a row before Cairo Santos kicked a game-ending field goal at winless Detroit on Thanksgiving.
Elsewhere around the NFL:
— The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated star linebacker T.J. Watt off the COVID-19 list, giving their beleaguered defense a boost before a visit by AFC North-leading Baltimore. Watt’s 12 1/2 sacks rank second in the league.
— The New York Jets have released kicker Matt Ammendola and signed Alex Kessman from the practice squad. Ammendola was just 13 of 19 on field goal attempts this season, missing three of his last six.
