CHICAGO (AP) — Kyle Lowry scored 19 points, Jimmy Butler added 18 and the Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls 107-104 on Saturday night. Gabe Vincent made four three-pointers and had 20 off the bench, and Bam Adebayo added nine points, six assists, and seven rebounds. The Heat won without Tyler Herro. Averaging 22.2 points over the past 10 games, he sat out because of illness. Before the game, coach Erik Spoelstra said Herro was “under the weather,” and would be a game-time decision. DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 28 points, and Alex Caruso had 22.

— It’s Sweet 16 for the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have run their winning streak to 16 games by downing the Atlantic Division-leading Brooklyn Nets, 113-107. Phoenix never trailed and led by as many as 22 before improving to 17-3. Devin Booker scored 30 points and Chris Paul had 22 for the Suns, who are one away from tying the longest winning streak in team history. Paul added eight assists and five rebounds, becoming the first player in NBA history to reach 20,000 points, 10,000 assists, and 5,000 rebounds.
— D’Angelo Russell scored 35 points and had a decisive steal and assist in the final seconds of the second overtime, sending the Timberwolves to their sixth win in seven games, 121-120 at Philadelphia. 76ers center Joel Embiid (joh-EHL ehm-BEED’) had 42 points and 14 rebounds in his return to the lineup after missing nine games because of COVID-19 protocols.
— The Jazz rolled to a 127-105 thumping of the Pelicans behind Donovan Mitchell’s 21 points, seven boards, and seven assists. Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson had 20 points apiece as Utah avenged Friday’s loss to New Orleans.
— Darius Garland scored a season-high 26 points and dished out 11 assists for the Cavaliers in a 105-92 downing of the Magic. Rookie Evan Mobley had 13 points in his return after missing Cleveland’s previous four games with a sprained right elbow.
— The Hawks’ seven-game winning streak is over after Alec Burks scored 23 points and Evan Fournier added 20 for the Knicks in a 99-90 decision over Atlanta. Trae Young finished with 33 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Hawks dropped to 8-2 at home and 11-10 overall.
— Bradley Beal delivered 26 points and Kyle Kuzma (KOOZ’-mah) had 10 of his 22 in the fourth quarter of the Wizards’ 120-114 decision over the Mavericks. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored the clinching four points in the closing seconds, helping Washington overcome a 33-point, 10-rebound performance by Dallas guard Luka Doncic (DAHN’-chihch).
— Charlotte had won eight of nine before Christian Wood scored a career-high 33 points and had 16 rebounds in leading the Rockets past the Hornets, 146-143 in overtime. Kevin Porter Jr. had 23 in Houston’s second straight win since a 15-game losing streak.
