St. Louis Blues beat Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Pavel Buchnevich and Ivan Barbashev each scored twice and the St. Louis Blues beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3. Justin Faulk and Jordan Kyrou also scored to give St. Louis its third win in 10 games. Ville Husso made 24 saves for his third win in four starts. Adam Boqvist scored twice and Boone Jenner also had a goal for the Blue Jackets, who had their three-game winning streak halted.

Elsewhere on NHL ice:

— The Florida Panthers were unable to set an NHL record for consecutive home wins to start a season. The streak stalled out at 11 games as Jordan Eberle (EH’-bur-lee) scored twice and Chris Driedger (DREE’-gur) made 33 saves against his former team, leading the expansion Kraken to a 4-1 victory over the Panthers. Ryan Donato and Jamie Oleksiak added goals and Joonas Donskoi (YOH’-nuhs DAHN’-skoy) had two assists for the Kraken, who were facing Florida for the first time.

— Mikko Koskinen (MEE’-koh KAHS’-kih-nehn) stopped 36 shots and earned his 11th victory as the Oilers beat the Golden Knights, 3-2. Vegas held NHL points leaders Leon Draisaitl (DRY’-sy-tul) in check, but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Zach Hyman, and Jesse Puljujarvi (pool-YAHR’-vee) scored for Edmonton.

— Mikko Rantanen (MEE’-koh RAN’-tah-nehn) had a hat trick and an assist as the Avalanche ripped the Predators, 6-2. Cale Makar (mah-KAHR’) had three assists for Colorado, but his goal-scoring streak ended at five games.

— Roope (ROO’-peh) Hintz scored his seventh goal in eight games and the Stars extended their winning streak to four with a 3-2 victory over the Coyotes. Braden Holtby had 25 saves for Dallas, including two on point-blank shots midway through the third period.

— The Red Wings pulled out a 3-2 win over the Sabres on Lucas Raymond’s goal 25 seconds into overtime. Dylan Larkin and Filip Hronek (ROH’-nehk) assisted on Raymond’s goal, which came shortly after Buffalo forced the extra session with a goal late in the third period.

— Jake Allen handled 47 shots and the Canadiens put together a five-goal third period to end the Penguins’ five-game winning streak, 6-3. Josh Anderson led Montreal’s offense with two goals and an assist, while Christian Dvorak and Tyler Toffoli (tah-FOH’-lee) each added a goal and two helpers.

— The Kings were 4-2 winners versus the Senators as Carl Grundstrom scored twice. Viktor Arvidsson had a power-play goal and Arthur Kaliyev also scored to help Los Angeles end a five-game losing streak.

— Kyle Connor’s second goal of the night was the game-winner as the Jets came back from a two-goal deficit in a 4-2 victory over the Flames. Paul Stastny (STAS’-nee) also scored, Andrew Copp had an empty-netter and Connor Hellebuyck (HEH’-leh-buhk) stopped 34 shots for Winnipeg.
