Redbird Arena in Normal was the site for the IHSA state volleyball finals over the weekend.
In 2a, Breese Mater Dei fell in the 3rd place game to Chicago Christian 16-25, 14-25. Lombard Montini won the state title over Pleasant Plains.
In Class 1a, St Thomas More won the state title beating Augusta Southeastern in 3-sets. Freeport Aquin beat Springfield Lutheran in the 3rd place game.
In 3a, Nazareth Academy are state champs beating Belvidere North in 3-sets. Normal West beat Joliet Catholic in the 3rd place match.
In 4a, Edwardsville fell in 3-sets to Barrington in the 3rd place match while Metea Valley needed 3 sets to beat Mother McAuley in the state finals.
