Warriors topple Bulls

UNDATED (AP) — Two of the NBA’s biggest surprises of the season squared off in San Francisco, where a two-time MVP took center stage.

Stephen Curry nailed nine 3-pointers and poured in 40 points as the Warriors blew out the Bulls, 119-93. Curry shot 15 for 24 in his 52nd career 40-point game and Golden State’s seventh consecutive win.

Draymond Green added nine points, nine rebounds and seven assists after coming into the game questionable with a bruised left thigh.

The Warriors are a league-best 11-1 after dropping the Bulls to 8-4.

— The Celtics won for the fourth time in five games as Dennis Schröder delivered eight of his season-high 38 points in overtime to lead a 122-113 win over the Bucks. Jayson Tatum scored 27 with 11 rebounds for Boston, which outscored Milwaukee 14-5 in OT. Milwaukee lost for the fifth time in six games after Giannis Antetokounmpo was scratched about 90 minutes before the opening tip with a right ankle sprain.

— The Suns rolled to their seventh straight win as Devin Booker and Jae Crowder scored 17 points each in a 119-94 pounding of the Grizzlies. Ja Morant led Memphis with 26 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

— Nikola Jokic had 22 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists in his return from a one-game suspension, leading the Nuggets to a 105-96 win over the struggling Hawks. Trae Young provided 30 points in Atlanta’s sixth loss in a row.

— James Harden highlighted a 39-point, 12-assist performance by draining a 27-footer with 29 seconds left in the Nets’ 120-112 victory at New Orleans. Kevin Durant scored 28 for Brooklyn, which squandered a 90-69 lead before winning for the seventh time in eight games.

— Karl-Anthony Towns furnished 18 of his 29 points while the Timberwolves outscored the Lakers 40-12 in the third quarter of a 107-83 win in Los Angeles. D’Angelo Russell had 22 points against his former team to help Minnesota halt a six-game losing streak.

— The Mavericks coasted to a 123-109 win over the Spurs as Kristaps Porzingis had a season-high 32 points and Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double. Doncic had 32 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds to help Dallas clinch the season series.

— Miles Bridges scored 24 points and the Hornets trailed by 16 in the first quarter before downing the Knicks, 104-96. Point guard LaMelo Ball had a career-high 17 rebounds to go with 12 points and nine assists in Charlotte’s second victory in seven games.

— Darius Garland tied his season high with 21 points and rookie Evan Mobley had 16 points in leading the Cavaliers to a 98-78 thumping of the Pistons. Mobley also delivered seven rebounds, three blocks, two steals and a pair of 3-pointers in Cleveland’s fifth win in six games.

— Portland picked up its first win in seven road games as Damian Lillard scored 20 points and CJ McCollum added 17 in their 104-92 decision over the Rockets. Kevin Porter Jr. had a team-high 18 points for Houston, which owns the league’s worst record at 1-11.

— Lu Dort stole the ball and made a layup with 1.7 seconds left that gave the Thunder a 105-103 win over the Kings. Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 22 points for Oklahoma City, which trailed by 18 in the second half before notching their fourth win in a row.
