The Salem Wildcats till kickoff their playoffs from 10th ranked Breese Central at 6pm tonight. Salem fell to the Cougars 7-6 earlier this season, as their 2-point conversion in the games final couple of minutes was turned away. The Cougars went on to finish 8-1 and win the Cahokia Conference, while Salem scuffling losing 3 in a row before bouncing back with a win at Charleston in Week 9 to clinch a playoff spot. In 4a, Freeburg routed Olney 69-19, Columbia lost to Sacred Heart Griffin 49-13, Civic Memorial upset Quincy Notre Dame 20-17.
In 5a, Highland fell to Morton 56-33. In 8a, O’Fallon was beaten by Glenbrook South 34-6 and Edwardsville fell at South Elgin 24-13.
