The IHSA boys soccer regional championships were held over the weekend. In 2a, Mattoon lost to Civic Memorial 7-1 in Bethalto and Mascoutah beat Centralia 2-1. The Triad Sectional will open on Tuesday with Triad against Carbondale followed by Mascoutah and Civic Memorial.
In 3a regional championships, Collinsville beat Belleville East 2-0 at Alton. Edwardsville fell to O’Fallon 1-0 in double overtime at Edwardsville. Those two winners will play Tomorrow in Collinsville in one sectional semifinal.
