Police Beat for Wednesday, October 20th, 2021

A 42-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested by Centralia Police for felony fraud. Kelly Schuchmann of Lowery Street in Odin is accused of using another person’s identity information to open an account with AT&T and run up a $1,200 bill. Schuchmann was taken into custody by Salem Police at the Super 8 motel while they were there looking for a person wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Centralia Police arrested 29-year-old Lacie Linder of East Kerr for possession of a controlled substance. Linder had been stopped by Centralia Police in April when she had several loaded syringes in a back pack. She was let go at the time, but police began searching for her when the substance in the syringe allegedly came back as positive for methamphetamine.

Centralia Police arrested 31-year-old Tyler Foster of East Mississippi in Sandoval on four counts of violation of an order of protection. Police say all the violations involved one person.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Joshua Coonce of Beckemeyer on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear warrant on a possession of controlled substance charge. He remained in custody in lieu of $3,500 bond.

Iuka Police arrested 26-year-old Erika Kessler of South Avenue in Iuka on an Effingham County misdemeanor warrant. She was released on a notice to appear at the direction of the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department.
