Monster Crawl draws big crowd to downtown Centralia Saturday night

The Monster Crawl returned to downtown Centralia on Saturday following a year’s absence due to COVID-19. The event is based at the Rail Coffee House on East Broadway. Jessica Nix-Coleman is one of the organizers and pleased with the turnout.

“We are stoked about this year’s Monster Crawl.  The streets are filled with people, fun, drinks and food.  We brought a lot of new entertainment this year with our axe throwing, which we offered for free.  And also our fire walkers and stilt walkers that came.  We added vendors this year and opened up our cocktail bar outside.”

And Nix-Coleman would like to see the event expand even more next year.

“This year has shown us that we need to grow bigger so we will ask for another city block to block off next year as we add more entertainment, vendors and food trucks to our lineup.”

The Monster Crawl started four years ago as a way to add a fun event during the Halloween season.
