KC Cross Country Shows Well In Kentucky On Friday

Kaskaskia College cross country teams traveled south to Owensboro, Kentucky. Brescia College hosted a meet at Yellow Creek Park that included 14 different colleges from the area.

The Blue Angels placed 9 out of 12 full teams. The Angels were led by Megan Cook, who placed 21st in a time of 20 minutes and 40 seconds; she was followed by Summer Chelf in a time of 21 minutes and 12 seconds. Maggie Fitzgerald was next across the line; she was followed by Cayla Krueger. Mya Albers had a strong race, running 5th for KC. Macie Hargis and Jamesyn Lyons were 6th and 7th for the team.

The Devils were led by Ty Reynolds with a strong 13th place finish in a season best time of 28 minutes and 49 seconds. Alex Detemer was next in a time of 29 minutes and 31 seconds. Andrew Stevenson put together his best race in a time of 30 minutes and 50 seconds. Sam Britt continues to improve, as he rounds into shape. Caleb Klein was right behind Britt as the number 5 counter. Ryan Gerdes was next for KC followed by Alex Huegen.
