The State Baseball Championships in Centralia will be held today. The 3rd place Class L baseball game will be at 1pm featuring DuQuoin and Mascoutah followed by the title game at 3pm between Marion and Triad.
The Softball 3rd place game will be at 1pm between Triad and West Frankfort followed by Carterville and Waterloo in the title game.
In Class M at Pinckneyville, Albion beat Pinckneyville in the state baseball championship 7-5. It was Nashville taking 3rd place beating Johnston City 6-1.
In softball action, Albion beat Pinckneyville 3-2 to sweep the state championships with Johnston City beating Smithton for 3rd place.
In Class S at Coulterville, they will resume action today with the baseball 3rd place game at noon between Altamont Lutheran and Woodlawn will be followed at 2pm by Holy Childhood Mascoutah and Our Lady of Mt Carmel.
In the softball trophy games at 12 for 3rd place it’s Summersville and New Hope followed at 2pm with the championship between St John Lutheran Chester and Jonesboro.
