After a year’s absence, Celebrate Centralia returns to the area around the 300 block of East Broadway Saturday night with music, wine, crafts, and food.
Centralia Community Development Director Gayla Harting says there will be a lot of music to enjoy.
“Everything begins at 4:00. From four to 4:30 will be the carillon. Cat Daddy O’s will be back this year. They were here a few years back. They’ll be playing from 4:30 to 7:30. Then Lakeside takes the stage from 8 to 10. Lakeside is a local group of gentlemen from the Salem and Centralia area and Morgan Isaiah from here in Centralia.”
Harting says there will be a variety of craft and wine offerings.
“Craft and art vendors we have about 25 of those coming with a few boutiques to set up and really different things this year. We have one gentleman coming out of Kentucky that does some really neat woodwork so that is exciting. We will have Crooked Creek Winery this year. We will have Donnawald Distributing Beer Truck. Castle Ridge will be coming up this year with a warm mulled wine and also a caramel apple sangria.”
Harting says there will be a fish fry and a variety of food trucks, so come hungry.
The festival runs from four to ten. There is no charge to attend.
As a result of the festival, the 300 block of East Broadway between Poplar and Elm as well as the alley running North and South will be temporarily closed to traffic beginning at noon for set-up. Please do not park in this area afternoon noon on Saturday.
