Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul

Attorney General Kwame Raoul and law enforcement partners are boosting efforts to fight online child exploitation.

The Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigates child sexual exploitation crimes, trains, law enforcement and now has a new mobile computer forensics unit to combat the rising problem. Illinois State Police Director Brendan Kelly says the public also has a role to play.

“Pushing back against the distribution of these grotesque, diabolical images of child sexual exploitation requires continued and increased vigiliance by all of us. Members of the public suspecting this kind of criminal activity should report it to law enforcement and the Illinois State Police.”

Raoul’s office is also releasing a webinar series for parents and schools to learn more about internet safety, apps like Tik Tok and Snapchat and more.
