The State Softball Tournaments are underway for the SIJHSAA as well tomorrow. In Class L at Centralia the day begins at 10am with Marion and Carterville followed by Triad and Mascoutah at 11, Central West Frankfort and Mt Carmel at noon and Waterloo against Wolf Branch at 1.
In Class M at Pinckneyville, Johnston City takes on Vienna at 9:30, Carlyle and Albion at 11:30, Sesser Vallier and Pinckneyville at 1:30 and then Red Bud and Smithton at 3:30.
In Class S at Coulterville, St John Lutheran Chester opens up the day at 9:30 against Coulterville. Elverado takes on Summersville at 11:30, Jonesboro and Crab Orchard at 1;30. Then at 3:30, Patoka will make their 2nd state appearance in the program’s 6-year existence when they take on New Hope.
