The Girls golf post season gets underway today. The Salem Lady Wildcats will head to Green Hills Golf Course in Mt Vernon for the 1a tournament. They will join other teams including Christ Our Rock, Centralia, Sandoval and Woodlawn. The top teams and individuals will advance to the Acorns Golf Links for Sectional play on Monday.
Also advancing to the Acorns Sectional will be qualifiers from Civic Memorial hosted by Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River, Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort and at Stonewolf in Fairview Heights that will also include Breese Central, Mater Dei, Freeburg and Columbia.
Feeding into the Auburn Sectional and Edgewood Golf Course will be qualifiers from the Effingham County Country Club, Hickory Point in Forsyth, Lincolnshire Fields Country Club in Champaign as well as Shambolee in Petersburg.
In 2a girls golf at Oak Brook in Edwardsville, the field will include the large Southwestern Conference schools along with Mt Vernon.
