FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Fresno State was a winner in its return to The Associated Press college football poll.
Jake Haener threw four of his five touchdown passes in the second half to help the 22nd-ranked Bulldogs rally from a 12-point deficit in a 38-30 decision over UNLV.
Haener connected on scoring strikes of 4, 23 and 25 yards to Jalen Cropper on three straight possessions to turn a 21-9 deficit in to a 29-21 lead. Haener and Cropper struck again with a 26-yard TD that made it 35-30 with 4:53 to play.
