On Wednesday afternoon the Salem Lady Wildcat golf team traveled to Centralia for a scheduled meet at the Greenview Golf Course against the Lady Orphan Annies. Although the windy and wet conditions provided a challenge to the golfers, the Lady Cats again came away with a regular season match-up win. This gives the Salem team an 8-1 record for regular season play.
Salem’s Kenzie Anderson was the match low medalist recording a score of 38 followed by Alyssa Paul’s 47, Maya Susmena’s 50, Mak Mann’s 52 and Jaryn Haarmann’s 60. Chesney Clark, also from Salem, participated in the match.
The final team scores were Salem 187 and Centralia 226.
Next week the Lady Cats will host Mt Vernon at the Salem Country Club on Tuesday afternoon for a regular match, and then will travel to Mt Vernon on Thursday to compete in regional competition at the Green Hills Country Club.
The Salem Freshman boys hosted Sandoval to Salem Country Club. Logan Lockhart was the match medalist shooting 44, followed by Ryan Detering 46, Rhett Detering 47 and Aden Bass 54.
