Bobcats Drop Close Regional Game To Top-Seed Flora…..Selmaville Advances….Jr High Baseball Roundup

The Franklin Park Bobcats fell in their regional opener to top-seed Flora 2-1.  Brody Collier threw a good game only giving up 3 hits and striking out 4.  Angel Salgado went 2-2 with a double and reached base all 4 times.  Eli Lograsso, Noah Timm, Cam Carmichael and Jackson Green all added hits.  Flora will play Mt Carmel in the championship after their 8-2 win over Carmi-White County.

In Class S at the Little League Complex, Raccoon/Kell beat Sandoval 22-0 and they will play Selmaville today at 4:30 after the Rockets 16-1 win over Iuka.

In the Selmaville win, Zane Dodson doubled and drove in 5 runs.  Aaden Rostance went 4-4 with 3 runs and 3 RBI.  Logan Butts drove in 2 with RBI also from Alijah Carroll and Jaxon Ward.  Carter Lowe tripled.  Rostance, Lowe, Brendan Smith and Wyatt McCarty all worked on inning on the mound.

In Class M at Nashville, the hosts are into the title game on Monday after yesterday’s 11-0 win over Okawville.  Aviston beat Breese 13-0.
