SWAN Executive Director Linda Warner is in the middle of her bicycle tour through Southeastern and Central Illinois stopping at all 7 offices to raise awareness of the many services SWAN provides in 16 rural counties.
Warner’s trip kicked off from the District office in Olney on Monday traveling to Carmi. Then on Tuesday she made her way from Carmi to Mt Vernon and then into Salem. Warner stopped by the SWAN office and the Marion County Courthouse where she was greeted by staff as well as Salem Mayor Nic Farley and Police Chief Sean Reynolds.
Warner left yesterday from Salem to get to Vandalia. From there she will head to Effingham and then a stop in Flora before returning to Olney on Friday. Warner is accompanied by her mascot bloodhound Millie who rides in a van behind Warner to offer moral support and cheer her on.
