A 40-year-old Salem man has entered an Alford plea to a burglary charge in Marion County Court.

Eric DeWitt of Robin Road admitted prosecutors had enough evidence, but he still denied guilt, for entering a building on Short Road in rural Kell in November of last year.

He was placed on two years conditional discharge, ordered to serve seven days in jail, and make $9,876 in restitution.
