The Salem Youth Football Wildcats improved to 4-1 with a 24-14 win over Red Hill. Cam McGee threw a 30 yard TD pass to Trey Clark. Clark also had a 90 yard rushing td and a 2-point conversion. Angel Salgado had a TD and 2pt conversion as well. Defensively Zane Dodson forced a fumble in the backfield recovered by Alijah Carrol. Carter Lowe made a great open field tackle late in the game to stop a 2-point conversion and keep it to a 2-score game.
The 5/6th graders are 5-0 winning 16-6. Kyler King scored twice. Jayce Kller and Kai Graham each added 2-point conversions. Drake Rector led the defensive charge with 11 tackles.
The 3/4th grade won 14-0 to finish up their season. They went 2-0 against other towns. Emit Gibson and Ben Lux scored. Cole Podergois and Trygg Aaron stepped up with big defensive plays to secure the shutout.
