The driver of a four-wheeler was seriously injured when she lost control while traveling in the 7800 block of Sinclair Road in rural Kinmundy on Saturday night.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports 25-year-old Miranda Coffman, who had no address listed, was airlifted from the scene by medical helicopter to St. Louis University Hospital. A ten-year-old juvenile boy who was a passenger was taken by private vehicle to the hospital to be checked out.
Sheriff’s Department reports indicate Coffman may have hit a pothole in the road causing her to lose control.
Kinmundy-Alma Fire Chief Kevin Day says the crash appeared to have occurred while the four-wheeler was coming down a hill and flipped over on top of Coffman before coming to a stop.
The crash occurred at 6:45 Saturday night.
