SC’s Reynolds signs at St. Mary-of-the-Woods

Zada Reynolds of St. Peter, daughter of Kristofer & Emily Reynolds, signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, Indiana.

At SMWC:

Zada will play under the direction of Coach Ashley Harris and her husband Coach Ian Harris.

St. Mary-of-the-Woods is a 4-year NAIA college, located north of Terre Haute, IN.

Zada is excited to be a Pomeroy!  “The recruiting process was so quick.  My parents & I visited the college for a tour, met and had lunch with the coaches.  There was a great instant connection.”  “I was sold on the college, after talking to the head of the kinesiology department, I found that the average class size is 13 students to 1 professor.  After visiting several schools and talking to several coaches, I knew SMWC was the school I wanted.”

Scholarships: Secured both 4 year athletic & academic scholarships.

Roster: Setter, Serving Specialist, Defensive Specialist

Area of Study: Kinesiology/Exercise Science, then hopefully attend graduate school at Indiana State University to obtain a degree in Sports Medicine.

 

At South Central:

Top 5 of her senior class at South Central High School.  She is a member of FCA, NHS, FBLA, where she serves as the secretary/treasurer, Pep Club and Science Club.

Zada has played volleyball since 3rd grade, starting off at St. Peter’s Lutheran School under Coach Megan Murphree.  She transferred to South Central Middle School her 8th grade year and was part of the 8th grade team that went to state.  She played under Coach Mary Brimberry her first 2 years of high school volleyball.  Her junior year she returned to play under Megan Murphree.  She has played travel volleyball for several years.  She started with Topspin Volleyball Club.  She has played the last 5 years, as a member of Air Assault Volleyball Club, LLC.  Zada credits the many awesome coaches she has had along the way for her success.
