The Marion County Health Department is reporting 61 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and Monday and Tuesday while Clinton and Washington Counties are reporting new deaths over the weekend.
Two deaths were reported in Clinton County last week, males in their 60s and 70s, while Washington County reported the death of a female in her 50ths. Clinton County has now had 96 deaths during the pandemic and Washington County has 32. Marion County reported no additional deaths during the past four days.
The Marion County Health Department reports of their 61 new cases, none are long-term care residents, 27 are school age, and two are four years and under. 42 of cases are considered community spread. 19 are the result of household or close contacts. Only two of those testing positive were fully vaccinated.
There are now 597 active cases in Marion County, including 24 in the hospital and three who are on ventilators.
The Clinton County Health Department is reporting 94 new COVID-19 cases last week. There are currently 374 on home isolation and three who are hospitalized.
Jefferson County has reported 66 new cases on Monday and Tuesday with 133 currently in isolation.
Washington County had 19 new cases Saturday through Monday.
